This was the inaugural Race Nite for the Emmaus Lions Club and overall it was a success. It was held at the Emmaus Fire Co. #1. They were hoping for a larger crowd, but for the first year they had a good showing of patrons that came out to have fun while supporting their local Lions Club. After a delicious dinner buffet, patrons enjoyed betting on 10 horse races while also having the chance to win various door prizes. There was also a 50/50 and a raffle for a ladies Bulova watch. In addition to placing bets on horses with play money, patrons had the opportunity to buy the horses for a chance to win $50 in each of the 10 races. The winning owners that were present are in the photos below with the winners wreath around them. Emmaus Lions club is hoping to run this event again next year. The Lions club is hoping to pack the Fire Co. next year (which means better payouts and ultimately more revenue generated for all the great things the Lions Club does for Emmaus!)
