25 years ago Lee & Elaine were married by a JoP in Virginia Beach. They never had the wedding reception that most couples get to experience at the beginning of their union. But that all changed for Lee & Elaine on March 29, 2009. Their daughter, Michelle Quier decided to throw them a surprise Wedding Anniversary Party! And to call it a "party" is an understatement. Michelle pulled out all the stops in order to give her parents the reception they never had. The event was held at the Iron Lakes Country Club. Around 100 close friends and family attended the event. PRior to brunch, the guests viewed a slide show Michelle put together that captured a lot of the fond memories of their family (not to mention some very interesting hair styles from past decades!) Then the guests dined on an impeccable brunch, complete with an omelet station, carving station, mimosa fountain, and pastry table. After the meal Tim Marchetto entertained the guests with a 30 minute set of covers, a short clip of which you can find below. And then came the cake, provided by Michelle's own "Granny Schmidt's Bakery". The cake, which is included in the photos below, was decorated to compliment the beach theme of the party, since both Lee & Elaine love the keys. The entire event was delightful and I am sure it won't ever be forgotten. The Iron Lakes staff were very attentive to all the details and the service the team provided was top shelf!
